Took a break from the tank and decided to finish off the right wing tops skins. Both the inboard and outboard wing skins were deburred and a burgandy scotchbrite pad was used to scuff up the interior side of the skins.
I also marked the scarf lines and used my dremmel with a 1 inch scotchbrite wheel and made quick work of both skins. The exterior side of the inboard skin and interior side of the outboard skin were taken down. The joint look spretty good.
After the scarf was done, I cleaned both skins with acetone and then pulled out the DRDT-2 and dimpled all the skins. The wing doubler was already done months ago, I just had to scuff it with the scotchbrite pad.
After the skins were dimpled, I cleaned again with acetone and primed them.
I also took the time to prime the main spar flanges were the rivet holes were countersunk to accomodate the dimples from the skin. Everything is hanging back on the wing.
I also removed all of the blue vinyl once the skin parts were completed.
